A Professional Coach

Coaching is unregulated and so anyone is able to say they are a Coach. However, my values led me to become a professionally trained Coach. I have a Diploma in Professional Coaching Practice and a Certificate in Career Coaching. I am an Associate Certified Coach, approved by The International Coaching Federation. The ICF is the leading global organisation for coaching and dedicated to setting high standards.  As an ICF member, I agree to abide by its Code of Ethics and professional standards which includes confidentiality.

I have coached across a wide range of sectors including the health service, financial institutions, manufacturing, marketing and communications, retail and technology

I am an Accredited Strength Profile Practitioner. As a Coach I use Strength Profile assessments to help clients gain a deeper understanding  of their strengths, how to develop them further and use them wisely.

As well as enabling others to grow, I recognise that it is vital that I continue to grow as a coach through continuous learning and being coached/mentored myself

My Passion for Coaching

I believe in the positive and transforming results of effective coaching - that everyone has the capacity to make change and move forward, even if they are not entirely clear what that looks like.

I became a coach following a 25 year career as a chartered surveyor, a profession where women remain underrepresented particularly at senior levels. Being coached following a promotion into a leadership role gave me the opportunity to challenge my perceptions and quieten my chatty inner critic and so build inner strength and self belief. This allowed me to successfully step into the role, quickly gain the respect of the team and do do so without fear of sharing my character and values. It has been said that leadership can be a lonely place. Being a women in a male orientated organisation can amplify that feeling. I gained the confidence to build new mutually supportive business relationships.

My Coaching Style

I recognise a direct correlation between professional development and personal growth and so I adopt a holistic approach. Compartmentalising our work and home life is not sustainable as they impact each other.

I prefer to let others describe my style. Here are some words used by my clients - genuinely supportive, non judgemental, empathetic, honest, gentle yet persistent, offered challenge to help me think differently working at my pace and helped me to discover what was holding me back.

My Coaching Practice

I am guided by my clients to ensure that their coaching programme is unique to their current situation and aspirations for the future, so that their goals once identified will be achieved.

I offer a single 90 minute ‘boot camp’ session. If beneficial, there can be a further follow up coaching session.

This coaching workout is ideal if you are daunted by a specific issue or dilemma such as -

~ the need to resolve a conflict situation ~ tackle a difficult conversation ~ preparing for an event

I provide a series of coaching sessions for those seeking growth and transformation, whether that it to

~ develop as a leader ~ secure a promotion ~ become more resilient ~ attain better work/life balance

I recommend six one hourly sessions for a duration of up to seven months.

I coach clients virtually via Zoom and weather permitting, some sessions can be outdoors in the green spaces of London. If requested, I can coach clients who are sponsored by their employer at their offices.

Down Time

I’m so fortunate to live where I do in Richmond, South West London which has the magnificent outside spaces of Kew Gardens and Richmond Park. I find getting outside is a helpful way to press pause. I love theatre and dance. I hold the RYA Coastal Skipper certificate, but stick to gentle fair weather sailing now!
